Many of you are seeing the "Not For Sale" and "Discontinued Product" descriptions for many MINI keys when you try to order one from a dealer or authorized independent MINI parts dealer. MINI no longer offers first and second generation keys with the exception of the non-remote post facelift key. I can't make keys- making a MINI key requires access to the car and specialized equipment and knowledge that many but not all mobile automobile key makers have. I will be creating a list of these mobile key makers so that MINI owners who need a key for their first or second generation models will be able to find a competent key maker that they can trust.
